Job description

The Independent Sales Representative assumes a primary role in the development of SmartBrew® market share and volume within his/her territory or channel by executing equipment lease and purchase distribution to qualified operators in the hospitality industry.



  • Optimize prospective funnel and system distribution by sourcing and vetting qualified prospective operators who meet the criteria for SmartBrew® systems.

  • Negotiate independent retail contracts and maintain and monitor compliance for key targeted accounts that meet the criteria outlined by regional direction while maintaining proper account information

  • Ensure the sound, timely and updated funnel management of his/her territory in terms of lead and data reports.

  • Implement retail programs and product launches as directed, in order to maximize results and return on investment while ensuring compliance & timely and effective execution

  • Educate the prospective customer universe through proper communication of brand attributes and use of trade support tools developed by SmartBrew® management

  • Provide client licensing and compliance assistance as required

  • Monitor and assist in scheduling, logistics, delivery and installation of SmartBrew® units to field.

  • Assist in scheduling and coordination of training for SmartBrew® customers within his or her territory.

  • Regularly engage retail and wholesale customers in conversation regarding their business and general industry trends, effectively communicating competitive activity on a timely basis

  • Present a professional image, create and maintain a good business rapport with all customers in line with guidelines and code of conduct as mandated by Natural Brew Inc.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Deep understanding and immersion of the craft beer industry

  • Significant contacts within the hospitality industry - primarily full service restaurant operators

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • A willingness to participate in decision making with regional management

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision

  • Understanding of financial planning and time management

  • Solid knowledge and skill level with CRM (Insightly) reporting products


Sales experience is an asset
